Kempton

6.30 – #1 Sherjawy Sherjawy
Course and distance whose latest form can be quite deceiving in terms of abilities and heart at running. Booked with Kirsty Milczarek which gave him good rides in his last three including a nice Lingfield win. Return to 5f will suit very much, draw is wide but mid field and proven not to be bothered by such stall positions. No issue on the weights carrying  one lb up since last start where no disgrace despite coming 6th, the more significant factor here be the drop in trip. An interesting race with many possibilities and scenarios, funnily the race results can be predicted using an anchor in the form of another horse, Island Legend, who happens not to run this field. Latest results for Sherjawy, Fair Passion and Estonia going against Island Legend suggest the trio bears more or less the same spirit and abilities for current run and can go very close. The slight differentiation would determine eventually who’s going to cross the finish line first. All three horses are bearing same mark as when going close to the anchor but Fair Passion doesn’t seem to respond to declining mark as she should be and Estonia though on the same mark as last run carries 5lbs more in allocated which may hold her back. Also both rivals have yet to win on course which is a big edge for Sherjawy.

7.00 – #10 Camera Shy Camera Shy
Two last starts were mild but non disgracing considering the 7 year old just got back from an almost two years break so all in all can be said to have gone fresh. Proven on distance by past form and showed abilities in last two starts, narrowing distance from winner from one race to another though going down in finishing position. Booked with Andre Atzeni a decent AW player which had him in last couple starts and may be ready for to win this time as past results show the gelding requires a race or two of stretching out limbs before going full power. Behind Lytham beginning of March and good chances fro him to reverse form as the latter is two lbs up and carries 7lbs more than last run. Also a 35 day break may not be of advantage for this 10 year old and lack of proof on distance may add in preventing him from the win.

8.30 – # 6 Joe La Taxi Joe La Taxi
Top form is his last 5 starts and the only runner consistent enough to have faith in. Tried over 1 mile for the first time, same as most of runners where Focail Maith and Ibsaar the only ones to have run the distance. Booked with Greg Fairley same jockey who’s responsible for three wins with the this brilliant 3 year old. Two lbs rise fair and no issue on allocated weights, also drawn nicely but of not much importance running small field. Exposed than most of runners and should recreate his latest class 4 win.

Southwell

3.10 – #3 Bonnie Prince Blue Bonnie Prince Blue
A busy runner who’s up for another chance at the claimers under Tom Queally which lead him to a win in a recent seller at Lingfield. Course and distance winner and an able runner if to judge by winters form, had troubles tried at class 4 but was soon brought back to where he belong.  Running Southwell again, hadn’t been running here for quiet sometime and will appreciate return to favorite field. Small field so no issue on the draw and carries less weights than last two sellers, should probably appreciate.  Up against his rival Ingleby Arch, a back and fourth between the two and great chances for Ingleby to conquer under Philip Makin but carries 6lbs more than his last run and seems not to have it on the good side when coming off a break. If Bonnie is to prove on late 2010 form than good chances he’ll leave the rest of them behind.

4.10 – #4 Calculating Calculating
Course and distance winner back from a class 3 adventure in which shows good spirit but made clear it is too much for him at the moment. Back to class 5 and running favorite Southwell field under Lee Newnes a 5 lb claimer but one with decent stats and a spark of enthusiasm who’s much experienced riding the 7 year old and had a couple of wins with him and a respected amount of well conducted runs placing most of them. Drawn wide and a bit of concern but no real worry on allocated weights, 2nd on top speed figures and had all stable mates running to form in he last two weeks. Opposed by Record Breaker who’s fav but faces tough conditions as penalized, first time fibersand and runs a race after 6 days rest for the first time.

Wolverhampton

3.20 – #6 Lastkingofscotland Lastkingofscotland
Fourth try at class 4 this year and third in a row running a non disgracing fifth in his last at Leicester, intriguing to see what Conor Dore has in mind for this brilliant runner. Back to AW a big plus, proven on distance and done well on course though yet to win. On board is Hayley Turner, been mount the 5 year a lot lately winning 3 times and bearing an over all decent team up. Did well in class 4 starts in the past and no reason why shouldn’t run well is this one as well. Drawn rough and up in allocated weights since last Leicester run, hopefully to prove on previous runs under similar conditions.

4.55 – #3 Ad Vitam Ad Vitam
Course and distance winner and though running mostly sellers and claimers lately return to handicap might suit very well. High on weights as climbing up the ratings ladder probably handicapper’s view over abilities is positive. Drawn well and though under 7 lbs claimer Laura Simpson should be able to at least place.

Wolverhampton

2.10 – #7 Mr Maximas Mr Maximas
Consistent in form and progressive since last November proving he’s here too stay. Done well on course including a close 2nd in his last running a 10 runner class 6. 2lb rise fair, not officially proven on distance but will definitely handle. Drawn wide yet had past runs where managed to over come such high stall positions, Allocated weights of no issue. Two interesting factors here, cheekpieces on and first time tried with tongue tie as well, and Richard Kingscote on board, which had the 4 year old in his last four starts and shows brilliant stats for course, race type and distance. Left Kielty’s Folly behind in a recent class 6 but is facing a tough opposition from Pie Poudre and Barton Bounty.

2 points win @ 4/1 with Bet365
2nd @ 9/2 – 2 points

3.40 – #8
El Liberator El Liberator
Yet to win but fair effort so far and good chances for him to get off his losing run. Blinkers replacing cheekpieces, fitted with blinkers once before but without notable affect and interesting to see what trainer has in mind with this move. Handled course and distance before, no change in the weights and enjoys the brilliant Jamie Spencer on board which might be just what the 5 year old requires to get ahead. Opposed by Spinning Ridge who won two of his last three starts but doesn’t respond well to a wide draw.

5.20 – #7 Polemica Polemica
Gave a good run here in her last, proven on course and distance and in good shape since first score in mid February. No change in headgear but change of jockey to Andrea Atzeni which doesn’t seem much a worry as jockey is well able in this type of race. Drawn well and though up 5lb in weights, carries 3lb less than last win.

Wincanton

2.45 – #4 Just About Just About
Impressive when returning from a two and a half months break winning a class 3 chase, now facing a similar field but dropped in class and trip which may be of benefit. 3lb higher for winning latest chase but fair rise which won’t interfere with chances to win this race, allocated weights well within his abilities. Going to his liking and dwells on highest top speed figures. Joe Tizzard on board, a decent jockey which lead te 8 year old well throughout his career showing a notable progression since first mount and all the way to nowadays. Although not bearing stats same as A P McCoy which rides the fav Local Present, Tizzard is having the edge of riding a fresh horse whereas McCoy must be tuned with Local Present coming off a 235 day break. Last start cheekpieces off running with tongue tie only, same for this run.

2 points win @ 3/1 with Bet365
PU – 2 points

3.20 – #3 I Can Run Can You I Can Run Can You
Progressive form last five starts, last four under A P McCoy, beating Sail And Return in their last at Market Rasen a week ago. Another 7lb rise looks rough however last two rise is weights of 7lb and 5lb seemed not to have much affect on him so will probably keep up with current form to complete his first hat trick. Allocated weights reasonable, going suits, latest performance of no doubt sets him as a natural class 4. holds an edge over the opposing Sail And Return as the latter is ridden by Kielan Woods, a promising apprentice however one who’s of no match to A P McCoy.

1 point win @ 7/2 with Bet365

Ascot

4.20 – #1 Alderburn Alderburn
A close 2nd in his last keeping on progressing since coming off a break and fair chances now as well. Proven on distance and on winning mark in the past so will handle the weights. Not very consistent on going but usually gets it on the good side, booked with Paddy Brennan which holds complimenting stats for chase rides and is surely aimed at balancing his Ascot stats. On Highest mark in the card and 3rd on top speed figures.
