Kentucky Derby
A major US horse racing meeting and the most attended one among the US major horse racing events. The Kentucky Derby is the final leg of the American Triple Crown of horse racing, and bears a purse of $2 million.It is run in the Churchill Downs racecourse in Kentucky and is so well known and so highly thought of, that it is often referred to as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports”. Australia’s most significant Thoroughbred race, the Melbourne Cup is handicap race open for 3 year old and above Thoroughbreds which is run every year at the first Tuesday of November in the Melbourne located Flemington racecourse.  It is the richest two mile handicap race in the world and one the richest turf races in the world, setting it as one the world’s most important horse racing events. St. Leger
One of Great Britain’s horse racing events and the highlight of the St. Leger Festival held at early September. The St. Leger Stakes is the final part of the English Triple Crown and the Fillies Triple Crown precedded by the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas, the Epsom Oaks and the Epsom Derby. It is run over a distance 1 mile 6 furlong 132 yards at the Doncatser turf racecourse. The St. Leger is a stakes race open for 3 year old colts and fillies and bears a purse of £500,000 when £300,000 goes to the winner.
